Fronted by world champion accordionist Graeme Mackay, whose decades of performance experience have taken him to stages across the globe, the band combines exceptional musicianship with an infectious passion for Scottish music. Joining him on drums is his son Craig Mackay, whose fresh energy, driving rhythms, and contemporary influences add a dynamic edge that keeps dancers on their feet all night.

The Mackay's have been playing for weddings since 1957. Graeme's grandfather Jim Mackay started the band with his brothers.
Ever since then, pretty much all of that side of the family has been in the band.
So not only do we have 20 years professional playing experience, we have 68 years of legacy.
So when it comes to weddings, we've been to a few!
From the first to dance to the big finishing sequence, Tweed will have your guests on the floor all night long. We can call all the dances, play some covers along with our own special way of playing traditional freestyling opportunities, there will be something for everyone!
